i tacked an auto meter shift light, some bulbs condoms, blue shift light bulb conversion kit, and the rpm pills onto my carparts order for the koni struts, so i should be getting my shift light in a few days (about the same time i get the tach back from auto meter)

my question is...does anyone have the independent shift light that auto meter sells? (not the light that comes with the shift tachs) i need to know which wire to splice into for the light. the AM brochure saus 12V power, ignition, and of course ground. does the ignition wire splice into the same wire as the tach ignition wire (green i think)

i have a feeling i may have been told the wrong wire to splice my tach into, which wire is the ignition wire that the tach is supposed to wire to?

when i hooked up the illumination for my tach i spliced at the front bumper lights (the orange one that most people get clears for)

yeah i dont have any problems with the illumination wiring, i need to know which wire to splice into for the shift light to read the engine RPM's. is it the white one like the tach uses?

That's correct; just tap into the big, white wire that comes off the ecu (rpm). It will work just fine.
