Which would be better performance wise?? Ive been having problems with excessive noise with my Greddy but I dont want to take a step back as far as performance goes. Any thoughts?

I never understood why Greddy made their exhausts for the NT motors with only 2" piping. Yea.. might give you more torque.. but it will choke your engine. I know it's 2" on the SP exhaust.. but not sure about the EVO. It may just be 2 1/4" which is the size of the GST exhaust piping.

I'm actually talking about the mufflers themselves or the axle back. Which is better performance wise, or is the difference so small that it isnt even noticable?

I also have the greddy evo and the piping is 2.5 (correct me if I'm wrong).

I have the EVO and it is 2.5" pipeing(but mine is 3" now) i think the GST would give a little more low end, cause its littler pipeing, but thats about it. by excessive noise problems, do you mean tickets from the cops or something? cause i LOVE the way my EVO sounds.

Not from cops yet, but in my apartment complex I guess people have been complaining.... so last week we got a note on our door from the management asking to try to keep it down when I pulled into the parking lot. I didnt think it was THAT loud, or maybe I live around a bunch of old fogies.

Oh and I dont remember exactly, but I think FUSION has a pic posted when he sold me this exhaust and it was 2 1/4"

but I have slept since then too

Sound wise, I guess the EVO is louder than the GS-T muffler. But among most of the aftermarket exhausts or mufflers out there, I have to say the EVO is one of the quietest. If I don't rev into the high rpms, it doesn't really sound that loud. I think Raizin will agree with me on this one. (off-topic: Rick, remember that bouncy ride b4? No wonder, all my struts were blown. Finally lowered...)

Going into parking spaces and parking structures is a whole different story though. Yeah, I also have the same problem, we have a new neigbor in our apartment complex who parks in the garage next to ours. His car has a freakin sensitive alarm that goes off everytime I come in. I try not to set it off by just cruising in neutral then. But sometimes, its just unavoidable. But so far, I haven't had any problems with cops. I read somewhere here on the board though about someone with an EVO in Cali get pulled over. I just don't rev that much whenever I see a popo. Really hard on the engine tho...:-(

The Greddy Evo is 60mm. for the nt., the Greddy sp is 50mm. My Evo sounds sweet, and only has a slight hum at highway speeds. However if I take the revs up to around 6grand its a different beast. Throw it in neutral as you pull into your parking lot and coast. Btw I love setting of car alarms in parking garages with the Evo :). Also are those times of your car with automatic or 5spd.

make sure you get that certificate from greddy, showing the carb number and legality, then drive into your house reving up to 3000, the evo is bad, don't change it cuz of some late nite bedwetters

On the last day when I moved out of my old apartment, I dumped some water on the surface of the underground parking garage and did a nice burnout when I had the evo, and gave a middle finger salute to some complainers standing nearby.

Hey Creamo, if u were asking about my times, those were with MT. The first one was with I/E only. The 2nd one had pulley and 18's. I know, slow. I might go the same route as u and get N2O. Btw, ur car looks nice...
