Has anyone gotten the MSD upgraded $70 ignition? My local autozone says they are local to MSD and should be able to order it direct if they have the part number. Does anyone conveniently have the part number? Or I can just look it up later tonight.

Just wondering if these are truly out yet (I think it's the MSD Blaster coil?). Anyone have it?

i got the msd dis 2 ignition. i still want to get the distributor pack and the coil to that way no power is lost to the plugs. if you do get it, let us know how it is.

I ordered mine a while back and it has been on backorder. Summit says it expects to ship on april 13. I am sure it will be worth the $70. If I were you, I would get in on the backorder.

I ordered one direct from my shop and yep there on back order. I guess its just a big industry thing to advertise before they actually make the stuff to see if the demand is high. I did however get the plug wires (8.5 msd's) part #32279. I also puchased the dis2. I hope when the coil gets here everything works out good. Late mike

so this is a new coil pack? 70 dollars sounds too good to be true for a DIS ignition upgrade but a better coil replacement sounds about right. :)

Yup it's an upgraded ignition coil (but NOT a DIS-2). My local autozone was looking up pricing, and for some reason, the DIS-2 costs 200+ for our cars, but only around 130 for the 4g63.

ive had it on backorder from summit for a while now, part # MSD-8229

maybe ill have it before christmas...lol, hurry up MSD!
