Ok, the car starts but only if I give it more air by opening the throttle up a little. Once it starts it runs (idles) fine. My a/f gauge is always in the green and only the green. It doesn't bounce back and forth like it is supposed to (yes the car is warmed up) but the rpms are where they are supposed to be at.

Also the exhaust smells rich and the plugs are black. These are all indications of being way rich. I have the fpr set to 47 psi. This might explain why the car wouldn’t start without me opening the throttle.

Another thing to add is when I take it up to 3500 rpm and let off the gas it will dip way down to 300 rpm and sometimes it will just kill out.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

not sure about the rich part but the 300 rpm thing might be because of the throttle cable not being tight...

nope, throttle cable is tight.

i know recently you upgraded, but what fpr and injectors are you using? and how are you controlling them? i dont know much about this but maybe i can help a little... maybe dino and the rest can come help us out??

welcome to the wonderful world of modified engines :-) From this point on, you will always have somethnig you are working out, no more hop in the car and drive and that be it :-) hehe. btw, my car runs mega rich also, just take it to the dyno and try to tune that dfi, or find someone that knows how to, cause its pretty tricky.

So your not using the 1:1 fpr that came with the dfi? Cause i fired up mine today (1st time) and it ran great.. Except for the axel i f@$ked up. It makes a nasty grinding sound, till firday when i can get it fixed. But i had no black smoke, no fuel smell, and no leaks :-)
Did you by pass the stock fpr? ro maybe you have a kink in the fuel return line causing the extra fuel to remain in the fuel rail longer... somthing..

yeah, what happened to the FPR unit that comes with hahn's stg IV fuel system?

The dfi is not yet on the car. The fpr that I am using as of now is the hrc crap one. I am just tring to get it to run normal before I put the dfi on.
