IN TH EPAST I HAVE USED MOBIL ONE SYNTHETIC oil in my car. i know you are not supposed to go from synthetic to normal oil but would it be ok to put royal purple in there now?

Royal Purple is equal to better then synthetic. I use it myself and have used it since i bought the car with one exception i tried mobile 1 once and it was out of my car after 200miles... there are two forms of royal purple, there regular 5w-30(and otherweights) as well as there Racing 21, racing 21 costs about 10$ a quart and the 5w-30 about 5-6.

How often do you have to change your oil with Royal Purple?

5w-30(reg weights) they say it can go to 7,500-10,000miles with changing of oil filter at 3,500 miles and adding a little more oil. the Racing 21 has to be changed every 2,500-3000miles

why change the oil it will be good for a long time... think about it its been in the earth for millions of years under thousands of pressure you dont think that it can stay in there longer that 100,000 miles?? lol.... :D

Heh I just changed from Castrol full synthetic 5w-50 to castrol gtx 10w-40 today :P

So why did you get ride of the mobile 1 after 200 miles?

What was wrong with the mobil 1? I can't even justify the cost of synthetic for my car since it's not like I'm pushing a high horsepower engine. I think for an NT with just bolt ons, regular oil is good enough. If you're turbo or have a built motor then it's different.

honestly... i grew up using the stuff... my dad had used it switching over from amsoil. and we ran my old chevelle on it. the oil just makes the car run that much smoother.... I cant really explain it. the car just rides so much nicer. starts ups are easier, reving is so smooth. keeps the engine cooler. its just really something else... maybe i am nuts... or maybe my dads got me brainwashed but Dave_fl will tell you i swear up and down by this oil.

Anyone use Redline motor oil?

i use redlines synthetic fuel additive...

mobil 1 full synthetic is a tuff act to beat though.. and IMO no conventional earth oil is better than full sythentic oil...
