1836, Got the engine rebuild done.

The car went in last Wednesday, and was finally done today. my uncle did all the "building" work for me, and a machine shop bored the block to the .020 for 150 bucks. i got the JE pistons/Crower Rods for 800 bucks total(my friend is a dealer...got them at cost) so i didnt do too bad. also have to add the upper gasket kit, other miscellaneous gaskets, water pump, timing belt...altogether probably cost me in the neighborhood of 1400 bucks...sure is great having an uncle as a mechanic! he was really impressed with the internals of our motor. mine was in perfect condition...not a thing wrong. i can definitely tell it has a "meaner" idle sound to it with the pistons, but not performance gains, at least i dont expect any, i have 900 more miles to break it in before i get on it. ah well, i was pumped up about it and wanted to tell you guys! i will either go turbo along with the Nitrous, or just keep it all nitrous and upgrade the fuel pump, and bump up to a 100 shot...maybe get a Quaiffe with the turbo money...who knows...im leaving it alone for a while!

What kind of compression did you get? You have the makings for a killer motor if you go turbo :) 15psi and you'll be scaring yourself silly. Go turbo and NOS if you want to keep the laughing gas handy. Nitrous is about 100 times more efficient than an intercooler anyway :D
