Anybody notice or think there is a differance between a 10.00 and a 50.00 filter?????

well.. i'm not sure performance wise.. but i bought my filter when i bought my car in feb 2000 and since then.. I've been using it.. its re-useable.. 50 dollars for once... anddd.. my car had 31 thousand miles when i bought it.. now its 71k = almost 14 oilchanges.. = 14 air filter .. =.. 140 dollars.. instead of 50.. that i paid for it.. :) but don't buy it if you are gonna get a intake or something in the future..

From a performamce stand point not enough to tell any difference. The only thing about the cheap filters many aren't washable and reuseable like the K&N filters. Some are but MANY arent although they look the same. I have a Ractive heatsheild filter on the way which I think will be more affective from the heat sheilding (as apposed to element make up) than any open element filter.

if you look at the two side by side there is no comparison. K&N is top of the line quality and will eventually save you money. i dont know if its true but they claim more horsepower but any open filter will beat the air box.

rims, tires, and a bunch of other little stuff....that list is way too short....more will come!

If you want the best... go K&N. Ever test I've ever seen K&N ALWAYS produecs the best flow rates. Yeah you may spend $30-$50 on a filter. and the recharge kit costs ten and usually lasts 2 re-oils. So $30-$50 once and then $5 every 15k so spread out you pay the same or less on the K&N depending on how long you have the car.

So basically what am I saying? BUY K&N!

(good enough sales pitch? should go see if they have job opening at K&N?)
