How much could I benefit from running the Crane Drag cams as opposed to the Crane turbo spec cams that I have now. I have a stage 5 turbosystem, and I want to get the maximum potential out of my engine. I am not the most knoledgeable person when it comes to camshaft selection. Which camshaft woudl best suit my need for making good hp through as much of the powerband as possible, adn woudl it even be possible to run the high compression drag cam or even some of the custom cams with my turbosystem. if anyone could help in this decision, it would be greatly appreciated.

Look for the cam with the most intake and exhaust duration with the least overlap. In a turbocharged application, high overlap can cause reversion of exhaust gas into the combustion chamber, which raised EGTs and does not promote cleam, power making combustion.
I think, if you look, you'll find that the drag cams and the high compression cams both make use of healthy amounts over overlap that probably won't be helpful to you.

Yeah stay away from overlap with the turbo you will just blow air through the motor instead of into the combustion chamber. You want the exhaust valves closed to force the air in and keep it in. You want high lift, high duration, little overlap. (pretty much what Dino said)

read my first post really carefully. I was asking if it would be beneficial to "upgrade" from crane turbo spec cams to crane drag cams. I was like one of the first people to get these cams for the dsm (and in the old post, I made it pretty clear that they were still nowhere close to being right when I got them. I decided not to upgrade 'though, because It wouldn't be an upgrade in my situation.

The reason I posted the specs was because of the Custom Grind Specs. I thought that you might like the HIGH lift ones that they have.

yeah, I saw that earlier, but wiht the first hand expierience that I have had trying to get crane to "make" a product is like pulling elephant teeth :( I really wish my turbo cams had more lift, but with their off-center design, I think I would end up loosing in the long run if I went custom.

Yeah the only upgrade for you would be to a higher lift cam. the drag grind I think would hurt your performance. Maybe Crower will have a grind you like better.
