1814, EXHAUST...... Posted by MrCoolCar, May-12-01 06:51 AM
I'm deciding on an Exhaust for my Car, but I can't see paying 500+ bucks for a name brand Cat Back..I heard of swapping a GST Exhaust for mine, but I don't know what all I need. Do I need just the GST Muffler or the whole Exhaust(pipes, exhaust, ect.)
Also I was thinking of getting an APEXi Dunk or N1 Muffler and putting it on by itself. By doing this will I gain any HP and will it sound different than stock? HELP!!!

GS-T exhaust is good to about 200hp. I have the muffler on mine, I say go with just the muffler, it's a little louder than if you put a whole GS-T cat-back on. Resonator is different I believe, so a complete GS-T cat-bak should be quieter. Just the muffler adds a nice throaty sound without a lot of noise. If you get the whole rear section you can bolt it on, I got just the muffler and a small legnth of pipe. I took it in and had it welded up. Plus the dual chrome tips just look damn cool.
