I got a generic temp guage that goes to 280F is that okay for tranny temp.. automatic

How did you hook up the tranny gauge, is it mechanical or electrical???? Thanks!!!!

I haven't yet , but its mechanical, im gonna just put a t in the line somewhere before/after the tranny. but no one seems to have an answer to my origional question???

also should I measure temp before or after tranny????

That should be plenty by far. I have an Autometer Trans temp gauge and it very rarely goes over a 100....maybe 150 during the summer in rush hour traffic. I'm auto also.

How do you know if its before or after the cooler? I can't tell which hose goes in and which is out!

I'm getting that guage and a oil pressure guages today.

Were do we tap into for oil pressure? Do we tap next to the oil sensor on the back of the motor?
