Sometimes when i mash the pedal really hard or harder than usual I hear a loud pop come from my intake. i have a homeade cold air intake also, hope its nothing bad, the 420A shouldn't be doin that because it's computer controlled timing and all right?

Oh yeah I have an aftermarket muffler also, just the muffler no catback piping... hehe but when I get my turbo kit I'm considering having a 2.75" catback piping fabricated.

A backfire thru your intake means your running lean. Have you changed your fuel filter lately? It is PROBABLY fuel relate.

hmm yeah I changed my filter like less than a year ago, must be something else. Maybe I ran into a bad tank of gas that might be it, it used to never do this.

heh on a 95 2GNT good luck it's burried under all that crap on your firewall, though I heard its easier if you take the battery out, which I didn't try. 96-99 2GNT is easier, well I would think it is anyway because it's mounted near the fuel tank. NE body know a fuel filter relocation kit out there?

Hmm I'm sure the noise if coming from the intake because I hear it in front of me. I did find out that my plugwires were bad, my stock ones so I replaced them with NGKs about a year ago. One of the wires kinda touches the headcover so do you think that could be it? I should probably do a resistance check just to check if it is.
