16671, Engine Miles Posted by omerc10696, Mar-07-02 01:54 AM
I'm looking to swap my engine. My current one has 80,000 miles on it. I was wondering what do I do in regard to the mileage on the odometer if the engine I got is a lot newer. Can I roll it back or do I just leave it at 80,000?

I've been in my odometer before, I couldnt get it to roll back ;]
Anyway, I've got 82k miles on my 98, its still running strong. Same tranny too. Anyway, if you cant roll it back, just got to the junkyard and pick one up with low miles. What most people do is leave the odometer like it is and just record when the new motor was installed. People care about miles because of the motor. (yes, i do understand other shit dies with age, but this is the big thing)
