I ordered a set of 8:3:1 forged turbo/nos Pistons...(420a)Neon Pistons,
and I am have'n a heck of a time tring to figure out where the front of the piston is..!!?
They are not marked or nothing.
the notches look the same on both sides,
I called Race Engineering and the guy said one side has to have deeper notches for the intake valve.
He said to mic 'em but I don't have a mic handy...
when I lay a coin in 'em I really can't see any differents to the naked eye..

Yeah you can use a coin, but what I would do since I didn't notice the rods being attached, is to box'em up and let the machine shop worry about it. Ask them if they make a mark w/ a sharpie or something on the piston to indicate which way is forward.

Strange, the wiseco pistons a friend of mine bought a while ago had a marking...

This may sound odd to you, if you have ever built engines before...

They are likely non-directional, with zero wrist pin offset. When i built mine, my uncle was disturbed that he couldn't find a directional marking. He busted out the micrometer, and sure enough - no offet. So i called HRC .. sure enough, non-directional. You can put them in any way you see fit.

Call whoever you bought them from (or failing that, call Wiesco) and make sure they are non-directional like my JE's were.
