16080, Best way to clean out intake manifold?
Posted by JustOne, Feb-28-02 02:28 PM
I have the intake manifold off because my engine is off at the machinist being rebuilt. I want to clean up all the crap inside the intake manifold. Does anyone have a good method of how to do this? (Myself)

Thanks

Degreaser or brake cleaner.

If you really want to clean it right, take it off the car.

Yeah while it's off get it ported/polished. But use carb clenaer, degreaser, and brake clean. Also once you soak it carb cleaner. Use a garden hose and a sprayer, some higher pressure water to brake loose and let the degreaser work.
