If you get under the car, the crank angle sensor is right above the oil filter. It'd check the harness connector for looseness, as well as the condition of the clip that anchors it down. Mine broke off after my turbo install, but once i secured it with a zip tie, i haven't had a problem with it.

The sensor itself is integrated into the crankshaft. it is a series of magnets set at specific degrees in the rotation of the crank. The only thing that could possibly go bad with it is the pickup for the magnets that is screwed into the block, but the only time i've ever heard of one of those things breaking is during an advanced case of crankwalk... which you likely will never experiance, especially considering you have a brand new 420A.

Its not a brand new 420A... its something they probably got from a junk yard and just threw in my car

Dark One gave you the right location for it now here's how you test it.

1. Detach connector and use an ohmeterto measure atthe harness side.
2. With ignition switch on, measure voltage between harness #1 and ground should be 8.5 - 9.5 volts
3. Check voltage between terminal 2 and ground, should be 4.8 - 5.2 volts
4. Check to see if there is continuity between #3 terminal and ground. There should be continuity.
5. If the voltage readings are crrect, and there iss continuity between #3 terminal and ground, replace the sensor. If not repair the harness, or the PCM may be faulty.

That's what my Haynes manual says to do for the test. Good luck, if this doesn't make sense or you need somethign else let me know.
