15658, header Posted by bigbrent88, Feb-24-02 07:40 AM
I've searched and only found mention of the hotshot header. Anyone have a good experience or dyno with one? Does it cool the engine bay?

unless you are going allmotor then headers are a waste of money. 1-2hp and a little more torque. greddy makes some and also pacesetter. i have greddys and felt a small difference. but again if you go turbo they will just be a big paper weight.

I've looked at greddy's design and its crap, the collector comes to soon. The hotshot header has much longer pipes and appears to be tuned well for high rpm. Since I plan to run at a higher rpm this looks like a good header, plus its ceramic coated.

yep greddy's design was more for midrange torque/hp. more power under the curve.

I've use two header so far. one is the hotshot and the other one is pacesetter. I like the pacesetter. i felt more gains on it. The hotshot is garbage It leaks and collector is to small. its smaller than our stock collector.

15667, I have the brospeed - got it from Stan2va... Posted by Kahn, Feb-24-02 01:09 PM
Honestly, I couldn't tell much of anything. It sounds a little different, logic tells you there should be some high end gains - freer flowing. But I have never been on a dyno so I couldn't even guess at hp numbers. Looks better than stock though :-) Thanks again Stan.

So, what about a custom exhaust, would it cost more than $430? Anyone done this?
