Well guys it's been done....I am now AF/Xing.....the pulley is GREAT! Revs quicker, idles smoother, definate horsepower gain...thanks for all the help with my questions. We used the heat in the oven method and it slid right on. Also the crossmember didn't need to be removed so that step can be skipped. So if anyone doesn't have this pulley..GET IT! You will not be dissapointed. See ya round guys

How long did it take you to put it on?

The whole thing took around 4 1/2 hours. We just took our time and made sure everything was right. I bought a 3 jaw puller at Sears Hardware for $40. The funny thing is that my mother is mad because my car has more horsepower then her car...hahaha.

Yes I am using the belts that came with it. No squealing at all...not now anyway...maybe after a while but any belt can do that.

Would'nt an AF/X pulley be bad for short, stop and go driving? Im told they dont charge up the battery as well...?

The guys on this board say that even people with 1,000 watt stereos have zero, that's 0 problems with the battery not charging. I've driven my car around, stop and go and it's not dead..if it wasn't charging it would be. And actually I swear the air conditioner got colder faster now that the pulley is installed.

so your AC still works with the pulley? mine mysteriously stopped working after i got my car out of the shop from a 4month vacation and i had the pulley installed while in the shop, maybe it just needs charging again?

I think the A/C gets cold faster now. Maybe just my imagination but that is what I think. I hardly ever use it anyway. Did anyone notice better gas mileage with the pulley installed???

Where did you get it from , a local shop or mail order???
So this thing is really the thing to get? Is it really that noticeable for the money...(ive seen them for like $180) My Dad tells me "an underdrive pulley maybe 2 or 3 HP not enough to notice...."
