I was at turbogs.com and they have a stage II turbo kit with intercooler and all for like $2799. Would it be worth spending that much just to go turbo, and even if I got that turbo kit would I even be better than a GST? Also is that a deal for 2799? Would it be cheaper to buy each part seperatly?

If it weren't worth it, people wouldn't spend the money. a Stage 1 can hang if not pass a stock GST.

With my stage 2 at 8 psi i blow by stock gs-t's. They have to be modded to hang with me. And even the mildly modded ones cant hang.

Most people know I'm not much into telling people go turbo, but if your worried about the price of a turbo than you shouldn't go N/A, get the turbo.

Ive never been in a turbo car, diamn dat sux. I think the fasted car Ive been is was my moms 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT1, she has ram air and dual exhaust on 170 hp. Ok thats gay, i havent been in a fast car

well where ya at?? There has got to be someone near you that is either turboed or has a turbo car. I took my first ride in a 2g GSX with BPU's and it was fast as hell. I was jealous of course, but I shall be turboed by the end of the summer if I have to sell myself.

yea man its crazy being in some turbo'ed cars like my friends 10-11 sec 3000GT, fastest in world.. Its scary. I think my car pulls pretty well when it works... Just make sure u got extra $ in case something happens like what happened w/ me.

I've driven a new turbo jetta.. the 1.8T.. I was very disapointed.. it wasn't very quick at all.. the vr6 with less horsepower felt much much quicker.

hate to say it, but most of the stock VW turbo cars suck. The turbo beetle that came first was like 90 BHP with turbo. WTF!?!??? They are either weak engines, or small turbos or some shit. Some of them are nice. Probably faster than my slow crap, but still, not good for turbo cars imo. Some of the VW's with aftermarket setups haul ass tho.

i was lookin through an old turbo mag and i saw a VW GIT VR6 and with a stage II T3/T4 turbo, the thing put out 364hp@the wheels. thats pretty tight for a small car like that. i love bein boosted by the way

The 1.8t felt pretty quick to me. It's 180 hp with 174 torque (much more torque than other cars with vtec etc). It's also relatively light, and my coworkers 1.8t can hang with stock gs-t's.
