is it worth it? i don't even know what it costs. i looked it up online and found some nice lookin wrap stuff, looks like cloth (not the aluminum color)...they sell the alum. stuff but i think that looks way too ghetto...the other kind is white or charcol greyish...e

either way, anyone have any experience with this type of wrap or any wrap in general? does it lower the intake temps enought to make a difference? i'd assume putting it on the downpipe or turbo would help keep the heat down which is always good...

I wouldn't use it if I were you. It traps moisture against the mtal of your header and speeds up the rusting process. If you are looking to maximize thermal properties and keep heat out of yoru engine bay and in your exhaust flow where it belongs get the header ceramic coated.

I have used heat wraps before, no probs with rusting, but i'm sure it would trap some at times I guess. I have noticed lowered temps in the engine bay, but never measured the change... I dont have heatwraps on now with the new downpipe and exhaust, cause i never drive the car enough to care right now... Maby you should custom make a nice heatshield, or get some ceramic coating...
