Is there any point to have a valve cover breather? I don't got one know but was thinking of getting one. I see quite a few cars with 'em and just was wondering if they are necessary/nice to have/ or pointless.

Thanks,
Mike.

They look cool and if you are getting any blow-by it keeps your intake pipes from getting oil all over the inside. This is more important for turbo guys. The don't want oil in the turbo compressor or IC.

i had a breather piss all over my valve cover.

but it kept my intake and t/b clean!!!

now i have a hose connected to the intake piping, and i have a small amount of oil accumulation on my air filter.

sux imo, if you get a catchcan, w/breather, you will have the best of both worlds.
