hittin an animal period would suck, but with an intercooler, it would really suck, especially if it screwed the intercooler over, that's why when I go turbo, if I EVER hit an animal (damn armadillos in alabama) that it will only give me bumper damage and not engine components :)

I once hit a bird the first week i had my car. stupid thing just sat in the road until the last second, flew and "BAM"j bird upp my hood, windshield and who knows where else. Still finding feathers in the engine randomly

dont you have to take off the front bumper reinforcement to put in a fmic? if so, then your engine would probably get fucked up

I wouldnt care if I hit an animal. I have an extra $1000 coverage on anything bolted to the car. I would tell my insurance company the intercooler was $900. If I break my intercooler by hitting an animal I would just get a nice new greddy one. Or I would use the extra money for other stuff and get another starion FMIC.

Heh well there's not much space to hit an animal with my bumper. I have the 5MPH bumper also so it should help hehe. All I have to worry about are bugs, hehe then again i think a rabbit could hop into the intercooler!
