ok heres the deal, my trustworthy mechanic apparently isnt so trustworthy.. i just had a new clutch/flywheel (nothing special, basically stock) put in, and two days after i get it back.. its slipping again!! TWO DAYS!! i take it back to him, and he says taht the clutch is wearing down again (due to reving too high).. comon.. it was only 2 days and i didnt even push it hard yet! now.. im looking to get a high performance clutch, so i got a few questions:
1. let me know what are some high quality clutches out there that will last a while, BUT doesnt effect my daily driving too much.
2. my flywheel should be fine, but im not sure.. can i just get a new clutch regaurdless of my flywheel.. will it fit w/o problems?
3. where should i order a the parts from?
4. for all you SO CAL guys.. where do you suggest i go for tranny work?? im done with taking it to a mechanic that dont do tranny work on a regular basis.. help!!
all opinions and help is HIGHLY appreciated. help help pleeeeze!!!

about your wear problem.. you might want to check if it is engaging fully.. cause if it's not.. and everytime you driving it's slipping.. it'll wearout in a big hurry.

it might be slipping cause he didnt bleed the clutch. The dumbasses who did mine forgot to bleed the clutch and i drove 1/2 an hr. home with it fuggin up the whole way. It would die, wouldnt change gears, would make grinding noises. I was already almost home so i just kept going and when i got home i bled it and it worked fine. Also...it will slip if he messed with it and got finger prints on it. It seems weird but if he had dirty, oily hands and it got on the clutch it will make it slip. So either way it is his fault. Anyways get a centerforce clutch/flywheel set. only $365.

thanks for the help so far guys.. it feels like the clutch isnt fully engaging.. thats what i was guessing when i drove it over there too him.. so either way.. with the clutch not fully engaging, there was alot of slipping, and now the clutch is jacked up!! where can i get the centerforce clutch/flywheel set? and for 365.. that like a good deal to me.. im assuming thats a regular steel flywheel tho.. any opinions on the aluminums? since im doing all this.. should i just get the aliminum too.. is it worth it??? let me know fellas.. thanks again!!
