hi i just bought my 99 rs and cant find out why the brake light wont go off i mest arownd with the button in the centerconsle and its still on can you help me?

Strange ish i have, i put the RCA cables for my sub, thru the middle in fact just around the (sensor??? it's a sensor) and the remote cable, when i had my amp turn on in the morning, after a nights rest, the brake light would stay on, this happen every morning, last friday i took out the amp, and taped the cables, and it wont do it anymore back to normal...go figure...

i have my rca cables in the midle ceterconcle also and no amp hooked up and it still dose it
