Posted by rsXboy99, May-01-01 06:31 AM
Well for the second time in 3 days (of which i havnt got on my car at all) my alternator belt and my powersteering/ac belt broke ..whats the deal? Im having a general shop fix this for me (cheaper than the guys who did my engine stuff) and the power steering is still squeaking? whats up with this? the guys say the alternator screws keep backing out? anybody know why?

Tell them to check the condition of all your pulleys, especially the crank pulley. If there's even the slightest nick in the metal, it will chew the shit out of your belts. Happened to me.
