Okay i got an oil leak coming either from the oil pan or under the intake manifold.
The leak didn't start until some friends of mine changed the oil to full synthetic ( Mobil 1 10-30w). Before the car was using non synthetic oil, 20-50w i think. Btw i got 127k on my car.

I'm planing on doing an oil change to a thicker weight, synthetic.
Just need everyones idea on whats causing the leak.

With that many miles on the car it is most likely the synthetic oil you just put into the car. The seals and gaskets have been use to the non synthetic oil and they don't like the change. When I got my new engine put in I asked about when I should start using synthetic and he said frist oil change after 3000 miles after the engine has been broken in. He said it could be done later but he wouldn't wait too long.

So does that mean i should go back to non syn? Or just do an oil change using syn.
