137850, Will these injectors fit?
Posted by RfOeCnKdOeNr, Apr-21-13 11:34 AM
I bought a set of "RC" injectors off a friend with a 1G ... well, they dont fit the rail or the block.

I want to make sure the set i buy now will fit. I am now running MS2 so size is only a minimum and i want a minimum of 550cc.

Will these fit our rail and block? Any other suggestions for what kind to get?

Thanks!

I have no clue why your injectors didn't fit the first time. I pulled some 550s out of my 1g when I had it and put them in the RS, fit snuggly with new o rings.

Me either! I bought them thinking they would! Unless I am missing something but they are extremely loose on the rail and have no way of clipping to it and there is no way they're fitting in the block... Unless I took a hammer out.

You're trying to put them in upside down, lol.

Obviously your friend sold you the wrong injectors (btw the injectors fit into the intake not the block).

Haha... The old upside down injector trick?? Oops, I meant intake.

Here is what hey look like:

Anyways, can anyone shed some light on the ones I link originally... Will they fit our fuel rail and intake?

Are you using 420a injector orings?

I was using whatever o-rings you see in the picture. The 420A intake o-rings don't work on the intake side because there is no recessed lip for them. And I tried the 420A ones on the rail side and the injector was still way too small for the rail.

Because those injectors are completely missing the pintle caps and the o-rings look way too small. They're incomplete.

Yeah, they'll fit, but I'm more curious about WTF injectors you have that don't fit. Can you take a pciture of the other side of the injector? there should be a part number on the other side in a pattern like X-XXX-XXX-XXX (if they're made by bosch) or a five- or six-digit alphanumeric part number if they're made by accel.

They are Lucas/RC 550CC injectors... The only part number I can read from my pictures is D1151BA.

They are at my parents house so next time I go home I will look for more numbers.

Do the 1G guys not need a pintle cap?

Those *should* be Lucas low impedance 550cc/min injectors. Use standard 2GNT o-rings instead of the DSM o-rings and replace the pintle caps and they should fit.

They're low impedance, so you'll want either a resistor pack or something to drive them other than the stock ECU.

You can buy injector parts kits from http://www.mrinjectorparts.com/top-feed-kits.html Check the Lucas stuff towards the bottom.

Sweet! Thanks for the link!

I am going to be running them with MS2 so I shouldn't need the resistor pack... Right? That's what I got from reading MSExtra...

MS2 can drive low impedance just fine.

Thought so. Great! Thanks guys!
