137627, Finally getting things together.
Posted by 99eclipse420a, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
On a deployment the down time I do have is boreing so I have been collecting parts.

A Garrett turbo brand new need to figure out exact model

Aluminum radiator **thanks Tim**

Hahn portfueler

Mitsumoto M line intercooler

Greddy rs BOV

Tial F38 wastegate

AEM true boost controller

Missing link map sensor fix

AEM uego wideband

Ci's log manifold

Now I am trying to cover everything so I can put the car together when I'm home. I plan to only run 8 psi since right now I have a stock bottom end. Is there anything I am missing or that isn't covered for the car to be turboed and run well? I also need to try to pass nc emissions with this set up. Thanks Guys.

Well hopefully with the portfueler you got a 1:1 fuel pressure regulator? Then you'll also need a walbro 255 high pressure pump. Also depending on mileage I would do all necessary maintenance first (timing belt, head gasket, VC and so on). Good list so far!

You doin extended egr tube or block off plate?

You'll also need boost and oil pressure gauges, and lots of vacuum hose. And all the gaskets/flanges/hardware, and make a downpipe (if you can't find one for sale). Also would need the oil lines and AN fittings, and an oil pan bung.

Yes the timing kit I got is the mechanical tensioner from parts dinosaur along with a full gasket kit from felpro I bought awhile back. The egr is already blocked and has the resistor fix for the harness. I am working on all the plumbing as we speak and everything is going to be black steel braided. Thanks guys for the suggestions.

You own a 10th Anniversary Edition, I assume? Judging by your profile pic..

I'm jealous! Mine just turned 175,000! The car has been very reliable so I wish you the same. It took me almost exactly one year to find the car when I did. So hard to find a clean Anniversary Edition. I have run about a dozen VIN's from Anniv. Ed.'s and they were all made in May of '99. Pretty rare.

This one was traded in for a jetta and never got put on the lot. I was looking when the lady traded in and overheard them talking. I told the owner of the car lot I wanted it and he sold it to me on the spot. I was lucky.

So there are some changes the Garrett turbo is being replaced by a turbonetics 50 trim and the greedy bov with a hks. Also going to be redoing the fuel system with AN lines and relocating the ecu and fuse panel.

I can't wait to see pics of the build coming together! For some reason I have such an obsession with clean anniversary edition's.

So do I my friend as soon as I am home I will be working on it a lot and other parts will be added. Hopefully, to produce a clean car with reliable power.

Haha, good. If your Eclipse becomes unreliable or unclean then my love for it will disappear. Even if it is fast!

You shipped the parts out to wherever you're at? Or is that not your hand in the picture? I'm just curious.

That's my wife's hand in the pics and everything is all at the house waiting on me. I now have Crane 18s and crower srpings and retainers. I also have a MP underdrive pulley, mechanical timing tensioner, gates timing belt, and water pump. Soon to be ordering or finding forged internals and I need to order other odds and ends for the engine build.

Very clean OZ you have there! It's refreshing to see a military man go through the work of building up a DSM rather than simply spending a large amount of money and driving off the lot with an Evo.
