Alot of times when I just start driving usually when steering wheel is turning but sometimes when just driving there is a loud screeching sound thought it might be power steering but had that checked and there is no problems I thought it was gone for a few days but it came back...anyone have any ideas...

balljoints, there is a recall, i just took mine in for the same thing and they replaced them for free and now the sound is gone, it is very important to have it looked at, wouldn't want to be driving and all of a sudden loose steering and the wheel will pop up into the fender, its a big mess.

Went in for the recall they did what they said was needed...they didn't see a problem...I don't know what the hell the sound is

yeah i got the screeching noise too but it's when i turn my wheel. also when i go over some bumps, it kindof makes the noise. i am going to get it fixed cause of the recall and hopefully they'll do it cause my car is lowered.

it should be the power steering belt.. its prob just loose or just needs to be replaced.

nothing to do with the power steering on mine cause i jacked the car up and sprayed lube on the upper ball joint and it stopped for about 2 days then started back up again.
