137110, Fuel rail?
Posted by fast420a83, Jul-11-12 03:04 PM
I heard that 4g63 injectors work with our cars... If so will this fuel rail work, http://magnusmotorsports.com/products/fuel-products-services/magnus-dsmevo-1000-hp-fuel-rail/ and if not then where can I buy the largest fuel rail that can be used with e85 fuel?

The injectors fitting have little to do with the fuel rail mounting bolts fitting.

So, I guess that is my question.. Will it fit?.. If not can swapping out the O rings make it fit?.. Anyone tried this?

You are not comprehending my point. The fuel rail mounts differently to its inherent 4g63 intake manifold. Compare pictures of the two.

O-rings or the injectors are not a part of my point.

I understand that, but those two bolts that keep the fuel rail in place mean nothing (easy fix) I am curious if the injectors line up and fit.. Also any advice on a high flowing rail thats compatible with e85 for our cars is welcomed, and why would you decide to move this post around. I am asking about a fuel rail thats good for 1,000hp.. No n/a would require that so it should stay in the turbo section. A stock fuel rail is fine for n/a purposes.

Think about it logically; if it is meant to mount to another car it isn't going to line up to your IM. The engines in question are from two different manufacturers and were designed something like 20 years apart; From that alone it is fairly safe to assume the injector spacing is not going to be the same. (Which I will tell you for a fact is the case.) There are lots of aftermarket fuel rails designed specifically for this platform; search.

Furthermore, don't be recalcitrant with the moderators, all that does make the community less apt to assist you.

Make your own fuel rail its not that much involved. Buy the rail material and the right size injector bore bit for your injectors holes and tap each end for -8AN(or bigger if you want)

Heres is an example of the procedure.

Thanks for the good advice, Gruff. I didn't really think about building a custom rail, but now I am seriously looking into it.

Cut the end off your stock rail and look through it. If you think you'll need more fuel than that then......(insert funny line here ;-) ).

The amount of fuel that you push through the rail would be limited to whatever end you put on your rail. I ran 1000's with the turbo set-up (567whp) and I wasn't even close on IDC's.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of that!.. Where did you get the end cap from, and what size did you use for your setup?...Also, I have a 95 rail. I wouldn't need to mess with the return side cap, just the feed side, right?

wait have you built a 1000+ HP car before?

or a 500+ hp car?

The injectors were 1000cc, the HP was 500+.

The ends are just basic -6an or -8an male fittings (I used 8's for the turbo) that are braised or welded onto the ends. I've had four of these done and I'm living with two right now, so its a proven modification (I know I posted up pic up here one time, but I'll be damned if I can remember where).

As for 95 rail; you are going to have to allow for an external AFPR regardless of what rail you choose.

I did That(weld -6AN male fitting onto the end of oem fuel rail) the first time I went e85 and it caused rust inside the fuel rail. Did you have that problem? Doesnt matter to me now that I switched back to pump gas. Just decided to throw that out there since e85 is corrosive
