My 95 Eclipse RS which I bought off a member on here has been sitting in my driveway for ever since which was in February. I would go out weekly and fire it up and occasionaly take it for a drive around the area. The car has a turbo timer on it set to turn the car off 30 seconds after key has been turned off in ignition.

Well a few weeks ago it stopped firing up. I hop in and go to turn the key and just 1 or 2 clicks then nothing. I can jump it and it will eventually fire up. I can drive it around but if for any reason it dies, such as going to slow without clutch in, the car must be jumped again.

Also, when I do turn the key off, the turbo timer does nothing now. It goes straight to OFF rather than countdown like it did everytime previously. And when I do turn the key off, if I immediately attempt to fire it back up, right back to being dead.

Battery is supposedly less than a year old. Im leaning towards starter or bad battery cables. Any ideas?

Could be any of them. This is not something we can diagnose over the internet. Go check/clean the terminals. Test the battery. Test the starter. Report back.

Take it to your local Autozone. They should be able to throw their Autometer battery starter and alternator tester on it. However if you don't have a charged battery then it wont test out your starter or alternator. I work there so I know. If they can charge your battery and test it that will be your first step. Also make sure your ground is secure and your terminals are clean. They will probably try to sell you Dielectric grease which isnt a bad idea either.
