136667, temp gauge rises with rpm

My gauge will rise with the rpm sometimes. Mainly at a stop but sometimes when moving. I changed the trans and this started happening. I think a crossed wire but where could it be? My egr is gone so its not that. Does that wire go into the ecu? Mine was also humming a little when I checked on everything ( key was out).

Your temp gauge and sender are independent of the ECU.

Okay thanks. I'll be investigating by the battery tray and linkage. The cam and the tach input are the only ones that can give rpm in that bundle right? The crank is in a different bundle I think.

So that one goes around the engine bay contoring the side of the frame rail. I don't see how anything hit that. It was fine before changing throw out bearing. I was thinking I pinched the wires together. Do the clusters sometimes get messed up?
