I am mid way through relocating my battery to the inside of vehicle. My concern is that the wires coming from the fuse box are long enough to make it to the the positive connection on the starter so that's where i connected them there. I have a 2g wire running from battery to the starter but car wont start. Would this prevent the car from starting or is it OK to have them there?

First off please tell me you using a dry cell battery or a properly vented box. (If your going to take it to the track keep in mind that the NHRA requires that any vehicle with a relocated battery must have a master disconnect switch installed on the exterior of the vehicle. SCCA rules are reportedly similar.)

Next question is what do the fuse box wires to the starter have to do with a battery reloacation? Upgrading the starter wires and charging wires?

Anyway all you have to do is place the battery where you want it and run the ground from the battery "-" to a stable grounding plane.

Then run your wire from the battery "+" side up to the loacation that the original post use to be. (Connect and isolate the connection)

Make sure that you are properly securing the battery in its new location (even if it is a dry cell)

Yea you dont want that thing rollin around in your backseat haha.

When I relocated my battery I bought a power ditribution block to mount under the hood so I could run the battery wire to that, then run a starter wire and the fuse box power.
