well, I finally got enough time to put in the mopar windage tray for the neon on my motor.....and gues what.......it doesn't clar the oil pan!!!!It woudl hav eto be shaved down a little on the back edge to clear the pan, but seeing as I was already frustrated, and I "really' didnt' want to give up my bedplate studs anyway, i opted to remove it. I will be returning this part this week :(.

I'm sure you've got plenty more tricks up your sleeve to get more power!

yeah, it probably wouldn't. the crank shouldn't create that much resistance with the oil to worry about anyway.

Armond, I think Gary Howell had already told us (the 2gnt.com board) about clearance issues as a reason the Moroso oil pan would not fit a long time ago when that product first debuted. I'm not surprised the same issues apply to the neon windage tray.

I knew the morosso oil pan wouldnt' fit the first time I saw it (it isnt' grovved fo rthecenter member or the downpipe). I didnt' know that teh windage tray wouldnt' fit. it doesn't bolt in the pan, so there was a chance that it could fit. like I said, it BARELY doesn't clear the rear of the pan (left/intake side of engine), but I don't feel like modifying it to fit. I don't think it is worth it.

I would see this as a modification more worth it to you autocrossers. As you whip from side to side the oil sloshed around and can keep the oil away from the crank. If it fit it would have been nice.
