K, having some trouble with this one. I went to the Dodge dealer and bought 2 o rings for the tube that goes into the water pump casting. I sandblasted and painted the tube then reinstalled it with a new O ring. I didnt use the exhaust bracket that it bolts to, because it hits my header and doesnt bolt to anything now anyways, so I threw that out and used 3 washers to space the tube out from where it bolts to the block. Under idle and normal driving its fine, but when I get on it and take it close to redline it will leak enough that it shows up on my block and oil pan. The head gasket was just replaced following my Valve modifications, and this problem happened before too. No bubbles in cooling system, no over heating, no actual use of coolant at all besides this leak. Any suggestions? Maybe just seal the back of the tube where it goes in the water pump with some "Right Stuff" sealant?

yea, either that or a slightly larger o-ring will be tighter, but might work. make sure to lube it w/ oil before install

Lol, keep driving it and you'll find out how much you need that tube bolted in place.

It needs to be bolted in place otherwise you will end up like I did when I once forgot to bolt it up; a big mess on your hands.

Its bolted to the block i just have washers in between the pipe and the block to account for the 1/8th inch or so gap from removing that exhaust bracket. It was was too far sideways just bolted with no spacer

I took the bracket off too. Mine just has the 2 bolts on the block. No spacers and its fine. I think mine only has those 2 bolts though. Take the space out and it won't leak. Your changing the circle to an oval by doing that ( when looking at it from head on. And an oval in a round hole won't seal.

Are you talking about the coolant tube on the block or the the tube that runs in front of the head? I don't have the one in front if the head bolted to the exhaust I took the bracket off

The one on the block going to the water pump. Mine hasnt had the one on the heater hose pipe over the manifold for years
