136451, 1/2 size radiator
Posted by streetlightning, Apr-15-12 04:00 PM
I did some searching, and didnt see what i was looking for. Im running into an issue where i dont have room for my turbo to be clocked where id like it for ic piping. One solution would be a 1/2 size radiator. So the question is, is any one running one, if so any over heating probs? This will be on a 2.4 as well. Thx.

Just slap Bullett in the face why don't you.

He took the time to create a wiki page for it.

Thanks. I did, but i didnt search the wiki, as i really didnt think it was a popular enuf mod to wiki. I see that it works per the wiki, given that, im wondering if any turbo guys running it have seen and disadvantages/issues with running it on a turbo setup, esp a 2.4. I will have to search for a 1/2 rad and get some dimensions to even see if it will be my solution.

thanks.

I've run this mod on my turbo 420a, multiple NA set-ups and 4G63 set-ups. The Honda guys do this quite a bit with no overheating problems.

I guess the question is, will it free up enough space for your set-up?

sweet! indeed that is the question. ill be looking into a few options for the 1/2s and taking some measurements. if i can i can do like a 120* out of the comp housing and and snake it most likely... but this gives me a good option. its this or option 3 in my other post.

however, my pusher fan is like a 10" i belive, i cannot fit a larger one, so im wondering if the cfm its pushing will be sufficient..
