I'm installing an Oil pump on my 2.4. For the most part its the same as the 2.0. I used the anerobic sealant and ne o-rings. Got it on and bolted it down and tq'd it. I then noticed the area where the oil pump meets the block and forms the mating surface for the pan, is a little off. Its forming a lip. My question is should I redo it? I am going to be running a crank scraper, so no oil pan gasket. Im hoping/wondering if the rtv (i I ise the copper color rtv) will be sufficent to fill the small gap, or redo the pump to ellinintae the issue? I should have been paying more attention to the deck flattnes whille installing..

Seems like a no brainer - fix it now, or risk an oil later, when it will be much more difficult to remove and reinstall.
