13545, Crane cams for Eclipse? Posted by Vectorracing_B, Feb-01-02 05:40 AM
I gave Howell an e-mail and asked him about the eclipse cams weather they are for eclipses or just the 420a head. I got a number from him but I can't get through! Anyone know if Crane makes direct cams for our rides?

yeah it does. also sounds like your clutch really pulls the motor down. what clutch are you on and how much power do you think you hae total?

Well I am running a set of used regrind cams that I got from Eric Ristine. They are supposedly a Drag grind from Mutany Raceworx who actually had them ground by Crower. I know there would be more power from these cams if I had higher compression so thats in my plans for the future.
As far as the clutch goes I am running a Clutchmasters Stage 3 clutch and yes it can easily bog the engine down if you don't stay on the gas a little between gears. As far as power goes, I have no idea. I haven't taken her to the dyno but I do plan on it soon, I just gotta get cam gears so I can tune the most power out of these cams.

The Symborski shift kit replaces the rubber bushings on the shifter mounting plate with machined steel ones. There are a few people on here that have them. It really makes the shift tight and direct.

I see but their isn't much for my auto trans. Is it possible to get mine to chirp in second? I'm planning to buy a high stall torque converter this summer. If that doesn't help my shifts I'm doing a manual swap.

To really get the trans to shift harder you'd need to do a level ten shift kit. The torque converter should help some especially on a launch
