2.4 bored to 2.5 Je 8.0 pistons Eagle rods Arp mains and head studs Srt-4 oil pump ATI Balancer Turbonetics T04E I believe Greddy inter cooler Jeep Tb Gasket matched head Crowler springs and retainers Symtech FCD 8 injector set-up (all)330s msd coil pack and wires Spec stage 2 modular w/ aluminum flywheel 3" aluminum exhaust from cat back hallow cat/test pipe
I think I may be forgeting some. This is for about 12psi
Future : Msd dis 2 with boost master retard Spec stage 3+ clutch larger secondary injectors possible meth injection
This will be for 20+ psi
Tell me what you think.

I think you can ditch about a quarter of the stuff on your list by adding a MegaSquirt.

MS FTW,, i had mine at 10 psi and it was pretty sweet, just waiting g get a better tune before i turn it up.. at 8-10 psi i had traction issues.. im running 3.55, dss 5's, quaife and Southbend clutch, poly mounts and AGX/ground controls. GL!
youll need a pan modded, and a custom pass side engine mount and bracket (which i have an extra of..)to, and id suggest crank scraper with windage tray. IJ is currently building mine.
"Crowler springs and retainers" lol, crowler?? lol.. why do you need these if your not running aftermarket cams?
I see you have a FCD, id say get the missing link to.. just to protect the map sensor.
I could be wrong, but i thought the 2.4 didn't have the room to bore all the way out to a true 2.5?
Get all the SRT timing/water stuff.. the mechanical tensioner FTW
How are you controlling fuel? idle and normal driving? If your using stock 420a injectors and or the stock ECU.. i would think you need more fuel over all, and the EIC would be for boost conditions..
dont forget to wire the injectors and the Coil correctly ; )

Mega squirt may come in later on but I have college so I'm doing this during winter break. I don't know a lot about MS but I have been researching it hear and there. The springs and retainers I got for free with my clutch. The pan is modified and I have the injector and coil sequence bookmarked. I said above that I'm using 330cc injectors as primaries. I have all SRT timing components. Also if you bore it .020 over and look on the bottom of pistons is says 2.5, so I called modern and they said it does put it to a 2.5.

i dont think boring it over .20 gives you 100cc of displacement? but w.e ; )

They rounded up I think. A neon forum says 2.45? They claim to put in the formula so all I am sure is its much better that the 420a haha.

Seriously? This is another case of relying on "what I read" or "what I heard was..." - is there a reason you do not do the simple math? 2.45 is correct, but why make a phone call instead of using a calculator?
OE bore x stroke is 87.5 mm x 101 mm. OE Displacement is then 2429.34 cc, or 2.429 L.
0.020 over bore is 88.0 mm x 101 mm. 0.020 over displacement is then 2457.1 cc, or 2.457 L. No one here is overboring by 0.20 inches. One of my biggest pet peeves is when people fail to understand the measurements.
Next, read the MegaSquirt wiki article on 2GNT, as it is fairly comprehensive for answering your questions.

What is your line of thinking of needing a DIS-2 for a second set of injectors? It is a waste of money regardless, and has nothing to do with being an additional/extra injector controller.
Why use 8.0:1 compression pistons? That is going to be pretty weak when not in boost & even at low boost levels.
Why buy a spec stage 2 now, only to upgrade to a stage 3 later? You are wasting money going that route.

I reread the "megamanual" page on tuning and it seems do able. About how long do you think it takes to tune it properly. I assume I could install the wires and mount the unit in one weekend. Tuning about one and a half weeks? Then just a set of 650-800cc injectors and I don't have to worry about the dis-2? Sorry for so many questions just would like to understand completely before going for such an involved task.

I know what dis-2 does. Its for ignition. If I turn the boost up it will be likely to knock so I am (was) going to use that to retard the timing for higher boost. And for all the clutch and spring questions. I payed 200 for both together. My cousin bought a 420a that had parts to turbo and he is auto so I bought that and springs because I'm going to go stage 2 later on and there is no harm with the springs.
Any way I will cotinue looking into megasquirt from symtech. I will try to return the injector controller and if not owell. Thanks everyone.
