Has anyone tried any of the top end kits howell sells? What kind of hp gains did you see?

are you talking about the rebuild kits with pistons/rings/waterpump etc... if so you wont see much of a hp gain unless you increase compression and such.. its really for if you want to run boost and need stronger internals than stock

The top end rebuild is more of a stregnthening up the top end. Te rollers and rocker would allow you to safely run a higher redline. You would see higher power with the perf top end rebuild but it's not a direct fit. You would have to index the cams yourself. Not an easy task.

The top end kits are under the neon section of the howell website. I called howell and they said that they will work for our cars. The kit they sell includes all the pt cruiser upgrades, springs, cams, etc. everything except new valves.
