Hey I'm about to buy a vortech 6:1 fixed ratio FMU. This FMU runs $173 which is not a huge deal since I've already dropped thousands into my engine build already with all the reputable name brand parts. However once in a while there are some less expensive parts that come through to be a good purchase for some people. For me and as unlikely as it would seem. My OBX intake mani has turned out to be ok after I ported it and drilled and tapped the appropriate holes in it. Now its great. I'm wondering if anyone has had a different brand FMU other than vortech that turned out to be a good purchase? The ones I'm running into the most are Vortech, JDM, and OBX and BLOX.:shrug

You can find FMUs for sale in our BST section much cheaper than that. I may actually have one in a box somewhere that I'm not using.

Sorry where id the BST section? I'm new to this forum and still trying to find everything. Are these new FMU's?

They would most likely be used, and/or require a recalibration kit. The recal kits cost maybe $30 from what I remember, and come with multiple rise rates, e.g. 12:1, 8:1, 6:1, etc.

I have a BEGI rising rate FPR with all the fittings and mounting hardware if you are interested. Probably only ran it for like 20K miles.
