And here it is, alot of you have been asking for a while (particularly Dave :P). So I went and bought a HD camcorder.
Just a basic start and rev.
Look for the dyno vid and maybe one at the drag strip soon.

pssshhhh, everything sounds better in a garage.
Although that does sound sick, your neighbors must hate you.

Door was open and car pointing outside, your argument is invalid!
And yeah, especially when I leave at 5am every morning ;)

You still get a nice echo, although not as sweet as if the door was closed. Post 2 more videos, one with the garage door closed, and one with the car outside. We will have this debate settled!
P.S. cant wait to see the sick numbers, hope you do good at the strip (although honestly I do hope I do better)

HAH!
You will do better at the strip than me, but I am determined to stay on top of you and Colby as far as DD NA whp goes ;)

Damn Dyno queens.. :p. On a serious note I see you topping 175, and having a pretty beastly dyno, but come next year with my rebuild to higher comp, that's when the competition will come full circle

Awesome man!
Next year you will have another SC NA motor to compete with ;) More on that later!

Careful, careful, you may have more than that to deal with on the daily NA scene........

Joo building an NA DD? If so I quit :P Looking.......You see, I'm Polish. Most go from 420a to the dark side. I'm looking at parting out my darkside to go 420a, lol. That 42mm ITB dyno has pique'd my interest......which MAY also generate a LTH. I think this is another big puzzle piece needed. I'm starting to line up the people. I think I located my pipe bender (which IMO, is key).
But more importantly, let's see how far you get on the "off the shelf" header.

Get someone to man the camera, and shoot some drive-bys!

Thank god, Im not the only person with a lean idle surge. lol. My car has always been a picky idler. Sometimes it hunts and idles high, sometimes it idles like a fucking nascar and I love it.
Sounds good though. You can definately feel the throttle response from higher compression.
Oh, and I am building a high compression motor right now. So after your dyno, enjoy your inevitable position in 2nd place, because I will be back!

The idle surge is mostly from a heat soaked IAT sensor, I think Corbin had a code figured out how to get around it but normally after warm up and driving his idle is pretty spot on, no surging. I'm really looking forward to the dyno numbers, and if he gets some slicks :D This thing deff pulls a LOT better than the last set up! Whats the compression numbers Timay?!

Over 9000, easy :P
Car was supposed to be tuned today.
Apparently a G35 with no wiring harness stuck on the dyno took precedence.
Tune is scheduled for next Friday, although at this point I am not holding my breath.

Yeah, I already paid. I have faith in Hubert. He has done great work in the past.
The shop owner however is a choad.

^^^I have found this too^^ at other shops. Some don't consider the fact that it can the tuner that brings in business (a lot like chicks and hairdressers).
BUT I am concerned about his indifference with the fan situation. I would hope he is on his best behavior now that you have brought up some points for him to consider (the "other" ring-a-ding-ding problem notwithstanding).
Good luck on the new, higher numbers.

Yep, this time he told me to get there an hour early, have it strapped down and get the fan on it.
If this goes horribly wrong, I am going to try to get all or some of the money back. I heard about a shop called Redline Performance about 1.5 hours from me. Apparently they are excellent with MS.
