I have a fuel rail made by terry, and 1000cc PTE injectors, when i mount them in the new rail and in the intake manifold, it looks like they wont go into the rail far enuf for the rail to be bolted onto the manifold, so im wondering if i need to space the manifold to rail, or if i need to do something different with the injector O rings?
![]() injector with o ring
![]() injector without oring
![]() how it fits in the rail with o ring
![]() how it fits without oring
![]() rail boss
![]() showing the spacing issue..
suggestions?

Did you oil the O-ring before trying to insert the injector in the rail?
I made the mistake of trying to install one dry once, it bound up like yours is and wouldn't go in far enough.

hmm when i set the oring in the boss without injector, it seems it wouldnt go in any further, thats whu i figured the boss was restricting the how far it went in, and that it would just be like that..? ill try oiling them

Yeah, you're supposed to use a small amount of fresh oil on the rings to get them to slide in and seal properly.
