anyone else ever had this problem? cars runs fine but after driving for awhile and getting it warmed up it starts to miss and then shuts off? all dash lights stay on but no engine power at all. will start right back up but will only run for a mile or two tops. if i let it set and totally cool down it will drive fine again! thanks for any help on this topic!

How long has it been since the car has had a new Fuel Filter? Tune up? What spark plugs are you running? Etc... Give us some background info on the car, what has/has not been done.

new bosch platinum +4 plugs new 8mm autolite wires new msd coil pack all done within the last 50 miles my eclipse has a header on test pipe(instead of the cat) and a new front 02 sensor (couldnt get the old one out of my stock downpipe) it did this before i put all the parts on but thought i corrected it cause it was running fine but today is the first i've attempted to take it any distance, was going to a show actually.

ok just the checked the codes and got two of them 0351 and 1390. i think if i replace the cam position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor it will fix the 1390. anyone else had this or done this? i'm kind of at a loss on the 0351 cause i have a new msd coil pack with less than 50 miles on it! any ideas out there on this one?

Try checking your wiring near your egr pipe. I'm thinking the heat from it may have frayed or melted wiring to your wiring and i think all the ignition and even cam sensor wiring are over on that side.

My MSD coil only lasted me a year, for there reputation their coils seem to not last very long, but 50 miles its rather low. Also, please don't run platinum plugs in your car, they are not good for it, they burn way to cold for our engines

Mine does this as well lol. I've put a new cam sensor in and stopped the stuttering but now just random misfire and dies on cylinder 1. Hope you figure it out bro.

ok so yesterday i checked all my wiring by the egr valve and found nothing melted. i traced the wiring all the way to the computer under the hood. thinking about ordering a new ignition coil harness for it and possibly a new camshaft and crankshaft sensor. anyone got any other ideas or suggestions?

next time it does it, see if it responds to WOT. Mine did a similar, but more extreme, thing when my MAP sensor went out. It would mis-fire, be hesitant, stall, and when it got bad enough at idle it sounded like my car had some nasty cams lol.

lol i just noticed my car doing that as well. it idles at 8 and sounds like a cammed v8 lol. Also that my car likes to give me a super hard time running correctly after work then in the morning for some reason.. I will get the maf sensor and hopefully thats it. I was assuming i had an egr problem since the car was wrecked where the can is and they jsy plugged the hoses with some bolts and slapped a new fender on. Don't go look at cars at night time lol

fixed it...it was either the cam or crank sensor. i just replaced them both.

i think it was crank sensor more than the cam sensor. When i pulled the crank sensor out it had a crack in it that i could feel with my fingernail! but since i already bought boought both sensors (and lost the receipt...) i just put them both in.
