Well, as some of you may know, I managed to kill my transmission with less than 25k miles on it. I shot the final drive gear outta the differential through the bottom of the transmission case out onto the ground at the track in Baytown. :D Some advice. Cold, extremely dry nights + lots of sticky VHT compound + 15psi in the tires + Clutchmasters Stage 4 clutch = dead differential. :) I found a tranny with less than 35k miles on it. Has a 90 day warranty, 550 bucks. I also bought two new axles today, as mine nearly twisted in half. God I'm glad I know people in the parts world. Normal price wouldve been right at 220 bucks for two new axles, I got mine for 50 bucks a piece. :D So, tomorrow night I should have it up and running. Gonna take it easy on her...heh.

While you've got the tranny out, pull the diff and have the pin welded. May help keep it together in the future.

SaberKhan: How do you like your cm stage 4? I just ordered mine and am curious to see how you like it. And do you have any recommendations?

I love mine. Great pedal pressure, and absolutely no slipping. Makes it a pain in the ass sometimes in heavy traffic because its so grabby. It chatters some. Reverse can kinda be a bitch too :P All in all, after you get used to it, you'll never want anything else. Definitely break it in properly, at least 500 miles. I wouldnt rev over 4k personally. The longer you break this clutch in, the better it will be. Definitely adds to the cranky-street-warrior persona my car seems to give off. :D

Dont Jinx me, cause it will be awhile before I can afford that damn Quiafe, and I am afraid I'll grenade that damn stock diff and ruin my tranny as well... So a stock tranny w/ low miles is only around 5-700? thats not too bad. Did it destroy the clutch as well? I dont really know jack about tranny's other than how to drop em, swap clutches in and out and change the fluid... I have seen disassembled trannys at shops and damn, they look like a handful.

Na, there was no clutch damage. The only thing I could see happening to the clutch would be to break the hub where the input shaft slides in. Heh, and guess what. I did that to the stock clutch, sheared it right off :)
