133670, car need WOT to start
Posted by _dOp_skyLINe, Apr-04-11 08:00 AM

good day,

my girlfriend has an 420a 1998, but it does not start if the throttle body is not in WOT.

i clean all the throttle body and now i only need maybe a 10% open throttle body to engine start but if i left the accelerator the car turn off.

what can be? i think is the cam sensor or IAC but i need some suggestions.

Do you have an engine light? If so, what's the code?

Most likely a stuck or failed IAC.

the problems is fixed...

IAC dont works, I replace with new one,

the reason that the car need WOT to start is the coolant temperature sensor. i put new one an now works perfectly.
