I just recently replaced the IAC motor thinking that was what was causing the RPM to jump to 2000 and back down to 1000 constantly. After replacing the IAC the problem remained and just yesterday I had time to look back into it. I turned on the car and unplugged the harness to the IAC and to my surprise NOTHING changed. My next step was going to check the wiring from the IAC all the way to the ECU. Just from a visual inspection nothing looks melted.
What else could it be? The Key Dance is only reporting code 12 & 25, 12 is because I recently removed the battery, 25 is the IAC code.
Any help is appreciated guys.

I would check for a small vac leak. those little things do crazy things to our motors. I've had my idle shoot up and a stuttering idle because of it. just check all of your connections or try to tighten the seal with your hand and see what happens
