I am having a brake bleeding problem with my upgraded gsx calipers and brake lines to s.s braided and the car is also throwing a misfire code on number 1 cyl but the spark plug, wire, and coil are good.

switch the injector with a different cylinder, switch the wire with cylinder 4 switch the wire on the coil with cylinder 4. try a new plug

inbetween all of those try and run it to see if the missfire code goes to cylinder 4. if and when it does the component you moved is your issue.


I dont know the brake swap but i do know bleeding brakes. what procedure are you using?

I am using a hand pump with a catch can in between the pump and the caliper

Master Cyl cap Is off ehen bleeding correct? And are you pulling fluid through or pushing it in ?

ah master cylinder cap has been on and its pulling it through

Be cautious when driving that may have blown the mastercylinder seals

How could I tell

No brakes if theyre all blown.

If secondary seal on primary piston goes, it will leak on the firewall side of the master.

And if any other went by itself while applig a very light pressure I.e. At a stoplight the pedal will sink to the floor.

Trust me youll know right away

the brakes build feel if you pump them and it holds that if you keep your foot on the pedal

You are probably okay. Ps I've never had much luck with hand pumps for brake work better off old fashion way. Either way start with pass rear, then do driver rear, then pass front, and finally driver front. Obviously refill as needed. And cap when finished.

On a side note. You must be using new brake fluid from a sealed container as brake fluid is hydroscopic and it absorbs moisture. Which in turn lowers it's boiling point and under aggressive braking the fluid will boil making it useless and filling the lines with air.

yes i am using new brake fluid lol i just don't understand why its pulling a ton of air with the pump I'm talking tons of air

Don't reccomend using the pump man. They suck. If it was an electric on appling a constant vacuum that's different. I have one of the hand one from sears and can even bleed a motorcycles small brake system with it I can't imagine a cars.
