since an intake gives more air... should i be unplugging the ecu so that it relearns how to do everything with more air?

i dont think its necessary, supposedly the computer will learn that on its own no problem, ive tried it both ways and i didnt notice a difference

You can disconnect the battery. The ecu will reset that way too.

Yeah the ECU will relearn on it's own.

my ECU was confused for a little while after turbo-ing my ride. I just told it to deal with it. :D

All that will do is reset any values it has stored (trim values) and go back to base fuel mapping. It will learn and adjust these values as you go no need to reset.
