I need help on which way to install the rods. Do the tangs face towards the front or back? Any help appreciated.

The tangs for the bearings? I do not think that is solely what the direction is based off of, but rather the oil slingers and the direction they face if I recall correctly.
I do not have any pictures handy so someone jump in if they have this one.
Are these factory rods, Eagle, Crower?
EDIT: Just checked some old pics of my 2.4 build. The factory cast rods had the spring tangs facing the back of the block, toward the firewall.

what exactly do you mean by "tangs"? also, provide pics if possible. What kind of rods are they?

if you have eagle rods, the side with the notches goes on the exhaust side...i think...
