When I installed my AFC the CEL came on but then it turned itself off after about 15-20minutes of driving. Works for me. :)

Yeha I used to get a CEL for the gutted cat and then it would go away, now it just doesn't even come on anymore, even if I reset the ECU.

Try to check the code anyway the ECU should store it for a while. But it will come on if it sees a problem. If the problem goes away and the ECu stops seeing the code. Eventually the light goes off.

My cel goes off everytime I start the car. ALl the lights come on and go off. :P. Might be that a sensor has a bad connection somewhere. Kinda odd that you would get a cel and it just goes out. Unless ur battery is going or something and reset the ecu. Who knows.

I had my CEL come on when I used regular gas instead of premium. I guess the not so good gas triggered a sensor. It turned off after a while.

I get the wonderful code 31 (evap crap) and it has never gone out one me before I always have to reset the ecu. But tuesday night I got the CEL and I was tired so I didnt reset the ecu so I left it. When I was about half way home last night it just turned off. I have had a cel for days before and never had this happen.

Yeah, I have the EVAP code as well... except mine never turns off by itself. I currently have code 72 and 31. I think 72 is because I do not have a cat, but whenever I reset my ecu, I always get these two codes after about a week of driving.

You need to check the EVAP solenoid and vacuum lines. Chances are that the solenoid is going bad. All of this stuff is located by the passenger side wheel well and front bumper. My EVAP solenoid is stuck open in a way that causes a vacuum leak somehow, cause my car drives like it has a leak. I am just to lazy to check it out, and to poor to buy a new $140 solenoid.
